| Saints Keep Streak Alive with Late Rally | The Montreal Saints defeated the Philadelphia Sailors, 8-5, at Parc Cartier II. Montreal shortstop Bill Elkins had a superb performance. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Montreal reliever Ace Adams picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Art Hull was saddled with the loss. The save went to Lee Richardson, number 6 for him.
In the bottom of the eighth, Elkins put his team in front with his 2nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came against Art Hull, made it 7-5, Montreal.
"This team is real focused right now," said Montreal manager Jim Cator.
With the win, the Saints hiked their record to 29-28.
