Sailors Stick Wolves with 5-1 Loss
The Philadelphia Sailors picked up a win at Sailors Memorial Stadium, knocking off the Toronto Wolves, 5-1. Starting pitcher Al Duster played a key role in the triumph. The 7th-place Sailors lifted their record to 36-42.

The Sailors got a big at-bat from right fielder Harvey Brown. For the game, Brown was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 15th double of the season gave Philadelphia a 2-1 lead.

Duster attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
