Eagles Absorb 10-6 Loss at Fitzpatrick Park
The Pittsburgh Miners powered past the Washington Eagles, 10-6, at Fitzpatrick Park. Jeep Erickson was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2, to lead the charge. Bill Traylor picked up the win with 8.2 innings of work. He allowed 6 runs on 8 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 10-5. Joe Loyd made an early impact for Pittsburgh when he stroked his 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which came with two out in the bottom of the third, put the Miners on top, 4-0.
