McClure Leads Foresters to 5-3 Win Over Cougars
Behind a solid performance from catcher Larry McClure, the Cleveland Foresters defeated the Chicago Cougars, 5-3. McClure hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Foresters. Ducky Davis picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-10. He struck out 3 in 9 innings. The Foresters raised their record to 45-44.

McClure had a timely hit for Cleveland in the bottom of the sixth. With Chicago trailing 3-2, he turned a first pitch fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season, making it 4-3, Cleveland.

McClure called the win "a team effort."
