6-2 Loss to Stars Extends Cleveland Losing Streak
The New York Stars topped the Cleveland Foresters, 6-2, in Continental Association action at Forester Stadium. The standout performance belonged to New York pitcher and New York, native Jack Wood. With their winning streak at 5, the Stars have raced to a strong start this season.

New York took a 4-2 lead on Bill Barrett's 7th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Barrett hit in the top of the eighth, left Cleveland pitcher John Jackson visibly frustrated.

Barrett called the win "a collective effort."
