Sailors Dump New York, 5-2, to Win 4th in a Row
The Philadelphia Sailors and New York Stars completed their game despite the rain.

Philadelphia Sailors starter Art Hull turned in an exceptional performance against the New York Stars at Sailors Memorial Stadium, resulting in a Philadelphia win, 5-2. The winning pitcher was Hull, now 2-1. He tossed 7.2 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 4.

Solly Skidmore, who is a two-time All-Star, chipped in for Philadelphia with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Hull told the Philadelphia Times.
