Foresters Win by Slim Margin, 4-3 | The Cleveland Foresters wiggled past the Toronto Wolves, 4-3, at Dominion Stadium. The win was highlighted by the performance of Cleveland pitcher John Jackson. Toronto falls to 12-14.
Cleveland used the timely hitting of Eddie Morris to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Foresters on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"Both teams played hard," said Cleveland manager Pinky Howard. | |
