Sailors Beat Toronto, 6-5 | The Philadelphia Sailors defeated the Toronto Wolves, 6-5, at Dominion Stadium today. Leading the charge for Philadelphia was shortstop Rip Lee. He went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Slick Wesolowski, 3-5, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. The Sailors bumped their record to 67-67 with this win.
Cotton Dillon, who is tied for 9th in the CA in triples with 6, aided the Philadelphia cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth. For the game, the pinch hitter drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate.
