Keystones Come Back Late to Top Gothams, 8-7 | The Philadelphia Keystones beat the New York Gothams, 8-7, at Gotham Stadium. Hank Koblenz, in particular, was impressive. He was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Philadelphia now has a record of 75-66 with the win.
Philadelphia took advantage of an error in the top of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 7-7, when Frank Covarrubias hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Philadelphia in front, 8-7.
