New York Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The New York Stars faced a tough opponent in Chicago pitcher Donnie Jones, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Dyckman Stadium by a final score of 4-3. Jones went 8.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. New York reliever Andy Boyer picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. David Molina was tagged with the loss. New York is now riding a 3-game win streak.

The most significant at-bat for New York came with the bases empty in the bottom of the tenth. Stars left fielder Jack Welch hit a solo home run to win the game.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Ken Tannen, the New York manager.
