| Keystones Win, 7-3, at Pittsburgh | A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Philadelphia Keystones and Pittsburgh Miners.
The Philadelphia Keystones topped the Pittsburgh Miners, 7-3, in Federal Association action at Fitzpatrick Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Philadelphia center fielder Charlie Enslow. Philadelphia pitcher Jim Whiteley got the win, upping his record to 1-1. Pat Wolter got the loss.
Jim Whiteley threw 8.2 innings allowing 3 runs for Philadelphia. The 34-year old right-handed pitcher had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Pat Wolter. It was his 1st RBI of the season.
"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Enslow.
The win gives Philadelphia a record of 4-4.
