New York Win to Pull Even With Cleveland
The New York Gothams and the Cleveland Foresters will take the World Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Gothams beat the Foresters 5-3 at Forester Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. New York center fielder Chief Lewis went 3-4 with 3 singles. He scored 2 runs.

George Cleaves, the 13-year veteran , had a direct impact on the outcome. Cleaves contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put New York up, 5-3.

"It was a solid team effort," said Lewis after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Forester Stadium in Cleveland.
