Campbell Delivers Walk-Off Win for Minutemen
Pittsburgh center fielder Ernie Campbell had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 11-10, to Boston at Minuteman Stadium. Campbell was 1-3 with a double and 3 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Boston reliever Tom Martin was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Art Brandon took the loss. No one expected much of this team but the hot start by Boston might have some re-evaluating their pre-season predictions. The win today pushes their record to 9-6.

The Minutemen relied on catcher Mel Campbell for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Campbell. "But I like how we're playing right now."
