Stars Stumble, Lose to Foresters
The Cleveland Foresters picked up a win at Forester Stadium, taking down the New York Stars, 8-3. Starting pitcher Adrian Czerwinski was a big reason why. The last-place Foresters raised their record to 21-27.

The Foresters got an important contribution from catcher Larry McClure, who in the bottom of the third punched a 2-0 changeup into left-center for a run-scoring double. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Foresters ahead, 4-2.

"I liked his command," said Cleveland manager Pinky Howard. "Adrian was throwing strikes."
