 | Jones Shows Off, Hits for Cycle Friday, July 9th , 1937 Hank Jones of the New York Stars helped his club in a big way today, hitting for the cycle in their 9-6 win against the Baltimore Cannons. The 4 hits, 2 runs batted in and 3 runs scored for Jones led the way for the Stars. "It was just a perfect day at the ballpark," Jones said later. Hank Jones doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Rusty Petrick in the 6th and tripled in the 8th.
