| || Minutemen End Clark's Streak |
Friday, April 22nd, 1927
Lady Luck was not on the side of George Clark or his teammates today at Cunningham Field.
Everything went the way of the Boston Minutemen, who not only came away with the 9-3 victory over Washington, but also held Clark hitless in 3 at-bats to put an end to his 22-game hitting streak.
"It was a good run," Clark said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won."
On the year Clark is hitting .318 with 14 hits, no home runs, 8 RBIs, .348 OBP and has scored 3 runs.
