 | Traylor Tosses Shutout Against Chicago Thursday, September 23rd , 1943 Bill Traylor handcuffed the Chicago Chiefs at Fitzpatrick Park today, coming away with a 5-hit, complete game shutout. "I had everything working for me out there," the Pittsburgh Miners right-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted." With his stuff working, Traylor had little trouble with the Chiefs and led the Miners to victory, 4-0. He recorded 2 strikeouts and no walks in an impressive performance.
