 | Sheppard Extends Stay with Pioneers Friday, October 15th , 1943 Sam Sheppard inked a deal that will keep the seasoned veteran on the Pioneers roster another 1 year. Earlier today team personnel announced that the 35-year-old had settled on a $14,000-a-year deal to play at Pioneer Field II. It's no secret Sheppard is getting older, but he could still contribute a lot to the franchise. This year Sheppard has fanned 81 in 281.1 innings and collected a 21-9 record with a 3.10 ERA. |   |
