Freddie Jones to Miss 6-7 Weeks Wednesday, May 12th , 1937 The St. Louis Pioneers will be minus Freddie Jones for about 6-7 weeks after the second baseman suffered elbow tendinitis while throwing the ball in a recent game against the Philadelphia Keystones. Jones and Pioneers skipper George Sparkman had been hoping the post-game examination would show less damage than originally thought.
This year Jones has hit at a .333 pace and produced 14 RBIs, 1 home run and scored 14 runs.
