 | New York Rookie Humbles CA Hitters Thursday, June 1st, 1933 Despite his newness to the Continental Association, last month Bennie Conover put up solid numbers and claimed the Rookie of the Month Award. In May the New York starter went 2-1, tossed 25 innings with 13 strikeouts and held the opposition to a .136 average. If Conover continues at this pace, he will certainly have a long and profitable Federally Aligned Baseball Leagues career. On the year Conover has worked 38 innings with 18 strikeouts en route to a 3-1 record and 1.42 ERA. |   |
