The Boston Minutemen topped the Philadelphia Keystones, 8-1, in Federal Association action at Minuteman Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Boston pitcher Johnny Hall. Hall yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 6-9. Picking up the save was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Owen Burns.

Bill Gallagher was vital to the Boston win. He went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second with one out, Gallagher hit a 2-run single. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Minutemen.

"They played a better game than we did," said Philadelphia skipper Charlie Leist.

Boston, at 79-75, sits in third place in the Federal Association East.
