Marco Middleton of the Cincinnati Cannons had a tremendous season and was chosen the Allen Award winner in the Continental Association.

He crafted a standout 13-15 mark in 33 starts, striking out 204, while walking 66. He worked 263.2 innings, yielded 228 hits and posted a 2.66 ERA. Opposing clubs had a .229 average against him.

He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 24. Bob Hollister of the Los Angeles Stars finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Joe McCarthy of the Cincinnati Cannons finished third with 8 first place votes.
