| Doyal Among Greats in FABL HOF Monday, January 6th , 1975 Sherry Doyal's dream finally came true today, as the talented and gifted right fielder was inducted into the Federally Aligned Baseball Leagues Hall of Fame.
"I really don't know what to say," he said to the large crowd attending his ceremony. "It's such an incredible honor. I always dreamed that this day would come, but now that it's finally here ... Someone pinch me, so I know I'm not dreaming!"
Over the course of his 2663-game career, Doyal was a .296 hitter with 2775 hits, including 368 home runs. He drove in 1593 runs and scored 1552 times as well. Doyal retired at the age of 43. He will join the Hall of Fame wearing a Cleveland Foresters cap. | | |
